FAQ

What is Delete Mould?

Delete Mould is an extremely effective mould, Algae, Moss, and Lichen remover with long lasting inhibiting properties that slow or stop the return for extended periods. In some cases, for up to and over 2 years.

Where is Delete Mould used?

Delete Mould was made specifically for: showers, grout, internal walls (such as bathrooms and other areas) Driveways, bricks and pavers, external walls, tennis courts, concrete areas, shade sails, Roof tiles-ceramic, synthetic grass, sandstone, painted surfaces, Eaves, timber fences, walkways, swimming pool areas, Colourbond sheets, canvas materials such as camping tents and swags, caravan awnings and much more.
*Always perform a small test in an inconspicuous area first.

How do I ensure I get the best results?

Delete Mould is strong and fast acting.
Always apply Delete Mould undiluted or neat to a dry surface.
In many cases, given the product has been able to penetrate the mould to the base, allowing the product to ‘soak in’ giving it time to work will ensue the best results.
The darker the mould the longer you want to leave the product soaking (guide only, not the rule).
Generally, a minimum of 20 minutes on walls and shower mould, grout etc… If possible, for outdoor concretes and driveways leave on the surfaces for a minimum of an hour but, if able, leave it for the weather to remove.
If washing off, a light hose to leave the crystals behind will keep the moulds at bay for longer.
Scrubbing will give a faster result but often not required.

Vertical surface cleaning – IMPORTANT
If product is applied to walls or roofs and allowed to run down walls, it can leave runnels or etch marks that are visible and often unable to be removed like many strong products. Either apply the product from the ground up so it runs over itself or use water and soak the area below so the product cannot penetrate the surface.

Is Delete Mould safe on aluminium?

No, Delete Mould is not suitable for soft metals. Even painted soft metals can be at risk.

Does Delete Mould contain bleach, and why?

Yes, Delete Mould contains some bleach or as it is referred to in the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) as -sodium hypochlorite. Bleach or SH can provide some good bacterial killing properties, but we utilise it more for stain remediation. Our specialised formula provides the power and effective materials that removes and keeps the mould away for long periods, but the bleach provides the whitening and brightening effect in the short term to give you a fast, incredible looking finish. It works as a 2 in 1 product, so you don’t have to bleach it after removing the mould to get rid of any staining.

Do I have to scrub to clean with Delete Mould?

Scrubbing is generally only required if – there is excess debris, Or – if the Mould, Algae, Moss is excessively thick or problematic, – Or to reduce the amount of product required, Or to get faster results.

Will Delete mould kill my grass or plants?

Yes, but this is easily remedied by hosing down all grass and plant areas before applying Delete Mould so they do not absorb product.

Fumes

Yes, Delete Mould can be quite strong. Tips to minimise this is not to atomise the product but to spray as a jet stream. Ventilate rooms, keep exhaust fans on, open windows. The upside to Delete Mould is you will not have to be using it anywhere near as frequently as other mould remover or prevention products.

*For a fume free product that can be effective for moulds, ask about Bushby’s Mould Master.

Septic Systems

Anything that kills mould or bacteria is not suitable for green septic systems or Biocycles. However, if used in conjunction with Bushby’s ‘BALANCE’ multipurpose cleaner, your septic system will do great, and you will have solved your shower mould problem!

Disclaimer: While Delete MOULD has delivered outstanding results in local Gold Coast conditions — with many customers reporting mould-free surfaces for up to 2 years or more — these outcomes are based on anecdotal feedback and small-scale testing. Results will vary depending on environmental factors, surface type, and moisture levels. Areas that are not constantly wet or damp (e.g. outdoor walls, driveways, shade sails) typically experience longer-lasting results compared to high-moisture areas like showers. Always perform a patch test before full application.
Please note: Delete MOULD is currently undergoing independent laboratory testing for long-term mould prevention.
